Prince fans can party like it’s 1999 every Friday and Saturday night at Hooters. Purple Reign-The Ultimate Prince Tribute Show pays tribute to the artist Prince and his performance in the movie “Purple Reign.” The group performs all of Prince’s greatest hits including “When Doves Cry,” “1999” and “Kiss.”

“This show made me remember the ’80s when I had long flowing hair and wore ruffled shirts,” said Gary Gregg, head Hooter and COO. “Seriously, these guys are great! Watching them is as good as…if not better than the real deal.”

Purple Reign has been recognized worldwide as the premiere Prince Tribute show. In 2008 they were the first ever Prince tribute act to be featured as a special guest on “The Late Show with David Letterman.” In 2009, Purple Reign was voted as the “Best Tribute Act” in a local Las Vegas newspaper poll.

Front man Jason Tenner founded the Las Vegas-based group in 1997. What started as a popular bar act at the UNLV college club Tom & Jerry’s moved on to performing in bigger and better venues both on and off the Las Vegas Strip. The group also added two new characters, Morris Day and Jerome Benton of “The Time” to the show.
